OK, I'm not stuck on doing this way. I've not programmed very much with PHP/MySQL, other than shell scripting for many years. So I'm picking up on things as I'm going, wanting to get something workable asap. You run into problems and when a solution looks viable you go for it, expecting to some day come back and improve it when you know more/better.
If you are willing to show how to get it to work better I'd not turn you down! : )
