mysql 5.0.10 stored procedure

hi all

i am ussing mysql 5.0.10 in windows syste. i ma usign mysql front 3.1

while creatign the stored procedure i am getting the error in syntex. please any one help me

and also it wont accept the key word DECLARE.please any one advice me

my procedure is like below


CREATE PROCEDURE simpleproc (OUT param1 INT)
BEGIN
SELECT COUNT(*) INTO param1 FROM admin_profile;
END


please aadvice me. i am delaied because of this
