Alowing users to generate their own content?

Hi all.

I'm quite new to PHP and SQL so this is my first post on here! Any replies will be much appreciated.

I have a website (www.our-pub.co.uk) and I've been looking into implementing a user account system for my customers so they can log in to their page and change / update the information on there.

I have a working database set up with a members table and have working register / login pages which will create records in the members table but i'm just unsure how to implement it all!

For example:
I would like the landlord at The Red House to be able to register, then once logged in be able to amend certain areas of this page...

Would I be best integrating something like Wordpress or Joomla in some way?

I'm pretty lost from here so any advice (or questions) would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
