I have a similar problem. I'm setting up a testing serving on windows XP.

When I connect to http://localhost/phpMyAdmin my screen is just blank. The files are in the right directory but I think its just not connecting to mysql.

When I try using MySQL administator I can't log in. It won't accept my login and password. The server host is working, I can ping and get a response. Where is the password and login configured for MySQL administator?

I found some other info in the forum about connecting using the DOS prompt by entering mysql -u root -p. This worked ok, MySQL is working, Appache is working, PHP is working. I just can't get the MySQL administator and tphpMyAdmin working.

Any help or sugestions?
