Migration Errors

Hey everyone,
I need some assistance converting a SQL Server 2000 database to MySQL 5.1. I am trying to use the Migration Toolkit but every time I get a bunch of errors on some of my tables that I can't seem to understand. Here are some of the errors.

Incorrect string value: '\xEF\xBF\xBD Mo...' for column 'ORDER_NOTES' at row 2

Incorrect string value: '\xEF\xBF\xBDzqu...' for column 'ORDER_NAME_LAST' at row 206

Incorrect string value: '\xEF\xBF\xBD, a...' for column 'PRODUCT_DESC' at row 10

I assume they have to do with special characters in the columns but I don't know what to do about it. I am using the default MSSQL conversion routine. Any idea?
