Why 1 Set of Single Quotes Becoming 2 Sets?

Hello,

Can someone help me find solution to the following problem:

I am using a form to fetch data from MSSQL database. There are two form variables I am using, "keyword" and "level". In my form the variable "keyword" uses form's text field and I am using a dropdown select box for selecting pre-defined values of "level", like A, B, C.

In my query I am using dynamic variable to set the value as used in the form. Since the data type of the column where levels are stored is "text" I have to have single quotes around the variable of levels.

The problem is, when I write static value of level in the query with single quotes it does fine, but when I use the varible with single quote it adds another set of single quotes around the variable value.
