Does DTS export to mysql require MySql to be installed?

I have installed the mysql odbc driver on the remote box. Now when, I do go to setup a dts export the mysql odbc driver is present. I am then asked to select a data source and tried selecting a new datasource and creating a new dsn file for the user I am logged in as. This seems to be to include login details to connect to a mysql database. But in this case MySql is not installed and I cannot install it on the remote machine. Is it possible to do the dts export to mysql without having mysql installed?
