Hi,
this could be a hardware-error.
But first check if your os shows any errors in event-log or other logging facility.
Then check to see if your os supports files greater than 2 GB.
For Linux: try a "dd" into a file.
For Windows: check your filesystem. Should be at least NTFS 5. Run "chkdsk".
The error source seems to be located outside the mysql-server-software.
