Hi Josh
awesome information! The only thing that perhaps causes some amount chagrin is that I have to rewrite the T-SQL based procedures.
However I am taking the liberty of asking you one more question (on pts 4 & 5 above):
- Is the native downloadable ADO.NET provider the only way to connect the MySQL from .NET apps?
- Are there any performance differences between ODBC and the native .NET connector. I am assuming that the later will be faster.
- Is the .NET connector available for both Linux as well as Windows server?
Will be looking forward to some more of your suggestions/recommendations. And ofcourse, I will definitely post my findings (pros/cons etc.) of my migration.
Regards
Indy
