DB Links in MySQL

In Oracle, you connect from one instance to another using a db link. The link allows create, insert, update, and delete on tables and also allows execution of stored procedures in a schema connected with the link. Does anyone know if something similar can be done in MySQL? I know a federated table can be used for table access. But what about stored procedures? Thanks.
