Re: Useing Oracle developmer 2000 as front-end
Hi,
We are a software company operating in India. We have been trying a similar kind of an experiment to connect developer6i to MySql database. We have been facing a problem while sending an insert statement to the database. The problem is that each insert is autocommited even if is not explicitly committed using the commit statement. This is true for the InnoDB tables also that shud support transactions. The inserts are not autocommitted in these tables when operated thru the MySQL console but they are autocommitted when operated from developer 6i using ODBC.
We are using MySql version 4.0.14 as the database at the backend.
At the frontend we are using Developer 6i (6.0.5.29.0), MyODBC- standard-3.51.07-win.exe. We are also using the OCA60 and the SQL*NET-ODBC patches.
After reading your query it seems that you havent encountered this problem of autocommits. It would be great if you could guide us in appropriate settings of the ODBC driver to disable autocommit.
Regards,
Smita
