Connect MySQL to ORACLE db

Hi All,
1- I have read access to an Oracle DB and i am asking if it is possible to link my MySQL-php webapplication to the Oracle Db directly.
2- In case it does not..what is the best way to import data from the Oracle to MySQL db and update it daily or weeklya dn how (looking for a script)
