I need to get up to speed on MySql and am frustrated by documentation that starts by telling me what a table is. Does anyone know of a good paper or whatever that assumes you know relataional DB administration and need to transfer it to MySQL?
Topics that come to mind...
Concept/terminology comparison
What's not there (assuming you know ANSI SQL)
User setup/types of users
Mysql on the disk/space management
backup/recovery
sample standards
pitfalls to avoid
monitoring
tuning... how to explore/trace long running sql
good resources, must have utilities, etc
Many Thanks.
