Re: IBM DB2 / MYSQL Replication

Hello Dmitry,

I "only" have to push data from DB2/AS400 to the MySQL Databases several times a day.

All-important: the process must work fully automated and there should not be yet another machine between the MySQL Servers and the DB2/AS400. There is no operator available to start any process on the MySQL machine and in the past we had some trouble with "Delta-File" replication. Therfore I would prefer a SQL or "binary" replication controlled by DB2/AS400.

<<DataPropagator can work with non-IBM databases, but it requires support for >>triggers since it uses them to catch updates.

How now ? I was not able to find any documentation about that point: DB2/AS400 v. MySQL and IBM has got no experience with that problem. That is what they told me.

Do you have a solution ?

best regards

Andreas Sturm
