Connect MySql via ADO instead of ODBC

I have an Access 2002 front-end that connects to a MySQL back-end via the odbc connector. Does anyone know how I can convert this front-end to connect via ADO instead? Also, do I need to get rid of my linked tables?--or can I continue using 'em?
