Subquery not working in MySQL..

Can someone tell me what is wrong with this subquery:
SELECT * From LetterTable l
(select MemberName From MemberTable m where m.MemberID = l.SenderID)
WHERE l.MemberID = 2
The query works in Access, now I'm trying to migrate to MySQL. Thanks.
