PLEASE HELP! Call Failed errors after short inactivity with MS Access 2007 and MySQL(web host)

Hi there,

Please help me...

I have set up a mysql database with my website host in the hope of using this off site database as an access point for several offices around the world.

I already have a fully functioning database which was built with MS Access 2007, but now I want to bring this into the mysql database I have created. so in essence I would have an Access 2007 front end and an MySQL back end.

I have exported all of the Access tables to the mysql database(no problems there), and connected to the mysql tables through MS Access 2007 -ODBC connector v5.1(with machine DSN config).(auto connect option checked, Password saved)

For the first five minutes everything seemed so perfect, when I load up access the information I need gets pulled from the mysql back end. I couldn't be happier. even the changes i make to the mysql data through access 2007 seems to work and change on the mysql side.

Now say I go for a quick break...(about a minute or two) and then come back to the same instace of the access 2007 front end and I find that any subsequent attempts to pull information from the mysql back end database is not possible. I get the following message;

ODBC--Call failed

[MySQL][ODBC 5.1 Driver][mysqld-5.0.67]MySQL server has gone away (#2006)

Could anyone possibly suggest where i'm going wrong ?
Let me know if you need any more specifics.

Thanks
