Access is a rapid development user friendly database. Oracle is not that.

Access is good with native Access tables have 50,000 or less records. Hoever, it's a good front-end for a back-end Oracle tables. Access is excellant at manipulating, querying, displaying, and reporting data.

Access databases are limited to 2G, but can be broken into multiple parts of @G each. More that 50,000 records requires a fast backend, oracle or SQLServer.

Cut your teeth with Access over Oracle.
