ODBC connection inside network and outside

Hi, We've used MS Access databases on our network for many years. We now want to update the data remotely (from home) and the best option seems to continue with Access as a front end & MySQL to hold the data. I've set up MySQL on our SBS2003, migrated the data and I can use our Access database as a front end with ODBC from home (I have a fixed IP at our work). The problem is that if I want to use the same database front end at work (within the network), I need to change from the public to private IP on the ODBC connection, or I will need 2 different front ends with different ODBC connections. Does anyone know set up the connection to MySQL so that I can use the same ODBC link?
