Hi all,
I have been searching for some time in orde to solve a problema I am having. I will explain the problem and give as much info as posible in order to get some help.
Database: Mysql 5.5.9 enterprise with latin1 as charset
Operating System RedHat 6 (Enterprise Edition).
ODBC Connector: MySQL-Connector 5.1.8 (happens also with the 3.5)
The client wants to connect to the database from MS Access (2000, 2003 and 2007) and link with a view.
I have created the view and while in mysql workbench or while in mysql client the chaarset is displayed correctly. However while in MS Access the charset is Korean not latin1. This happend if I link or import the table into MS Access. If I link / import a normal table the problem is gon it only happens with views.
I have tried:
* Change to cp1250, latin1, utf8, utf16, latin2, latin5 and some others the connector charset parameter. Still the same problem.
* Check the Windows XP regional configuration.
Any idea why this happens?????? any suggestion?????
