Hi Aaron-

Try reading this post: http://forums.mysql.com/read.php?65,33870,33870#msg-33870

This is a chronic problem with the current production ODBC drivers. Everything is pretty kludgy with regards to Access<->MySQL over ODBC until the newest drivers (Connector/ODBC v5.0) are updated. An alpha version has already been released (http://forums.mysql.com/read.php?37,33923,33923#msg-33923), but it doesn't yet play nice with MS Access. Real Soon Now. The Beta-ish driver were supposed to be out mid-August, but here we are in middle of September... no word on progress.

I think there are a bazillion people out there that would like this connector issue fix so they can push their production systems onto MySQL platforms. Count me in. That makes a bazillion and 1.
