Interesting post! I know you've found your conversion tool. I might add one to look at for others: it is an open source product called Talend Open Studio, that can do the job. One of the reasons is that it has many components, that include MSAccess and MySQL. And many others. Plus it has lots of functionality, as well as an easy to use UI!
