MySQL Decimal fiels appear as Text in Access 97

Hello,

I migrated my tables from Access to MySQL. Monetary fields were converted as DECIMAL.
I now want to access these MySQL tables with Access as a front end :

- Access 2000 + MyODBC 3.51.12 + MySQL 4.1.9 => OK. Access sees these fields as Numeric
- Access 97 + MyODBC 3.51.12 + MySQL 4.1.9 => Not OK. Access sees these fields as text

The only change is the version of Access. Unfortunately, I must use Access 97. Any workaround for this problem?
