Well, it's an idea, encapsulate your DB requests into an HTTP POST method that queries a pre-uploaded script (most probably PHP). Adds an extra layer but there are so many providers that won't offer more without additional charges...
I'm wondering though, how a pre-compiled MDE could possibly control an ISP "typical" DB without at least uploading a script file on the server - unless perhaps it knows about the db managment package (say MyPHPAdmin)?
