Read from and write to MySQL from Access 2004 via HTTP?

I am atempting something I've never done before. My employer insists that it be done. We have an existing Access 2003 App. We need to write to and read from a selected MySQL database table record that lives on a remote internet server via HTTP.

I need pointers to sample code, instructions, advice, etc on how to do this via VBA code. The communication must happen transparetn to the user.

Any advice will be much appreciated.
