Problemas con ODBC conector 5.05

Que tal Migos de la Lista tengo un win xp y al bajar el odbc beta 5.0.5 al lo instalo sin problemas aparentemente pero al momento de utilizarlo me tida el siguiente error "Error de Conectividad[MYSQL:MYODBC 5.00.05] invalid escape sequence estoy queriendo utilizarlo con visual fox pro 7.. si me pueden ayudar con esto les estaria muy agradecido..
