Hola katapalo,

Lamentablemente por el momento MySQL no tiene un mecanismo como en Microsoft SQL Server de @@ERROR para capturar el último código de error generado.

Ya está solicitada la funcionalidad en http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=11660 esperemos que la incluyan en MySQL 5.2

En la actualidad lo más cercano que tenemos es una instrucción SHOW: SHOW ERRORS - http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/es/show-errors.html
