He observado con el directorio HOME de mi servidor hosting hay un archivo .my.cnf, lo he editado y he añadido las siguientes lineas:

[mysql]
wait_timeout=800
max_allowed_packet=32M
connect_timeout=300

Sin embargo no he observado ningún cambio, me voy al phpmyadmin y en la sección de variables consulto dichas variables y continúan con el valor antiguo. Relamente no sé que hacer.....
