MySQL Server Automatically Restarting For No Reason!

I just recently installed MySQL Standard v4.0.17 and it seems like about every 1-5 minutes, the MySQL server keeps restarting itself and causing me to lose my database connection and I can't seem to find out what is causing this, and it's making the server send me "Server Down" messages saying that a process is down on the server, but yet my databases seem to be working just fine. Below, is a clip from the log, and this is all that it keeps saying... Just posting different dates and times, along the way.

Can you please help? Please see the clip below!

040720 19:46:48 mysqld started

/usr/sbin/mysqld: ready for connections.
