Foxpro: Connection Handle is lost when Error Encountered

Hello Experts!

Please do help me. I'm more than 10 years now writing FOXPRO program and a year in Foxpro/MySQL. It goes fine with me connecting to MySQL. I am using FoxPro CURSOR with CURSORSETPROP() to handle data for remote tables. Every time i stumble with MySQL/MyODBC error such as "String too long to fit" when adding records, my connection handle to MySQL becomes invalid.

Visual Foxpro 6, MySQL 5.0.45, MyODBC 3.51.17 I'm using.

I would be very grateful any Idea you can share
