Re: XBase : can't find .dbt file
More information. There are dbt files:
I found on this site:
http://www.clicketyclick.dk/databases/xbase/format/dbt.html
Xbase: Memo Field Files (*.dbt)
DBT are storage for fulltext data. Data is stored in simple 512 byte blocks. If data is > 510 byte it will be stored in continuous blocks.
Only reference to the data is an pointer stored in the memo field in the datafile. The pointer is not displayed in dBASE.
If the pointer in a data file record is not empty dBASE will open a file with same name as the data file but with the extention .dbt.
Problem:
I do not see any .dbt files in the directory I'm copying files from. So where are these being stored? Hmmmm! Checking in the FoxPro aplication where the tables are initially located.
