Hi,

I am actually here to see what I can do to "migrate" to mysql from clipper. actually we couldn't permittly "migrate" to mysql due to mainframe only export to dbf.

not sure what version we use in-house (it's soooo old body know the "age" of the application). we have the *.dbf and some index file, but no *.dbm do you think your dbm is some type of index? I know those older database usually have index file for quick search. if it's index you may not need to do anything to it. From what I could understand in the old day if you don't rebuild index once every week the database it's not very happy.

best of luck,
