Description
Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company database.
Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes; resolves database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues.
May require a bachelor's degree in a related area and 12+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Required Skills
Extensive experience of all MySQL versions in a High Availability environment, including failover/replication.
There is a requirement for on call.
The team is a comprised of Multi- skilled DBA’s including Oracle, SQL Server & MySQL.
The team size is 12, based in Texas, Costa Rica & UK.
This person would have sole responsibility for the development & operation of the MySQL Platform, with support from 2 others in the team, who are relatively junior in MySQL.
This person will also need to x-train other members of the team.
