Solution Architect (m/f)

THE POSITION:
The Solution Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, deploying, maintaining, troubleshooting and documenting numerous web systems, security components and storage systems. He/she works closely with application developers and systems analysts in the configuration, installation, and support of a wide range of web enterprise applications. Furthermore the SA has the following duties:
- Implement, configure and operate web and application servers
- Define the infrastructure strategy and evaluate which technology innovation is suitable for the organization
- Analyze, govern and approve system design activities and review system designs to ensure that applications solutions will exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment
- Identify key business and technology drivers for software and infrastructure systems
- Formulating and documenting concise IT systems designs
- Response to business queries on technology and product related topics

THE REQUIREMENTS:
- More than 5 years of experience designing and maintaining enterprise-class IT servers and systems in a complex heterogeneous systems environment
- Strong analytical, problem solving and planning skills
- Capable of working cross functionally with teams, e.g. business and service provider
- Independent decision-making and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment where change is common
- Knowledge of modern Web and Application servers (Apache, Tomcat, IIS, Hybris, ECMS)
- Experience with RDBMS technologies (e.g. MySQL, SQL Server, JDBC)
- Knowledge of Version Control, Automated Build and Deployment (SVN, Jenkins, Bamboo)
- Good understanding of TCP/IP Networking (DNS, Load Balancing, Routing, Proxy, Firewall)
- Balanced mix of technical and business skills
- Fluent in German and English (written & spoken)
- Team player
- Mobility: basically willing to travel
