MySQL Architect for Database System Software Research Engineering role in the Bay.

In Brief we are looking for those with an expertise in the following:

The team covers a broad spectrum of topics and is building an ecosystem surrounding SSD and Non-volatile memory.
The engineer is required to analyze the capabilities and performance of database (MySQL, PostgreSQL ) software stacks in such context, identify issues, and propose and prototype new solutions across hardware and software.

Background / Experience:
MS or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering and experience of industry quality with Database system engineering.
Require to have expertise in the followings.
1.deep knowledge of internals of relational Database system (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc. ) and ability to modify the cores to improve performance.
Deep knowledge of software architecture and its internals in at least one of areas and ability to modify the cores: Relational database, No-SQL database , and Virtual Machine, Operating Systems, Storage system, File system, Computer architecture, etc.
Deep knowledge and hands-on experience of query processing, query optimization, transaction processing, concurrency control inside Database system.
Strong programming skill in C or C++, Java in Linux environment
Knowledge of the landscape of the data storage systems such as SSD, SSA, SAN, NAS, DAS technologies.
