Seoul-based game/entertainment developer GoPets Ltd is seeking a hard-working, ambitious individual to assist us in bringing our product to launch. We will be operating a world-wide Internet-based service with users in the 1,000,000+ range.
Job Title: Database Administrator
Requirements:
* 3+ years of systems development experience with LAMP technologies.
* Previous experience designing, developing, deploying and updating MySQL instances in a high query volume environment.
* Must be expert with performance tuning and debugging MySQL runtimes.
* Must have first hand knowledge of optimizing MySQL instances for response time and availability.
* Must be able to manage time and plan systems projects from inception to production.
Please be able to exhibit RDBMS Administration Experience With The Following:
* Linux system administration and performance tuning
* MySQL replication setup and management
* InnoDB, MyISAM and other storage engines
* query optimization
* error detection and repair (myisamchk, etc)
* backup and restoration automation
* disaster/recovery planning
* PHP, Perl/DBI
Ideally, applicant would be a S. Korean resident, however we are willing to consider discussing relocation for the right person. Some English fluency required, Korean and/or other Asian languages a plus.
