Oversee.net is a dynamic, fast growing company with interests in multiple segments of the online advertising space. The Company is leveraging its expertise in monetizing web, search and e-mail traffic by developing several marquee consumer properties. We have small teams, and a casual and creative atmosphere.

This position will ensure the integrity, performance and security of databases across Oversee.net's various business units. Will install, monitor, tune and troubleshoot core company MySQL databases and database-servers. Responsible for implementing policies and procedures for ensuring stable, fast and secure data. Will configure and monitor database performance metrics, replication activities, analyze and improve queries, perform and verify database backups, import/export data and more. Should have strong Perl and Unix/Linux background, and have strong background in Open-source database technologies. Must have the ability to communicate well and work effectively within a team environment. This position reports to the Oversee.net Chief Technology Officer.

Requirements:

- 4-5 years of database administration experience with Open-source databases MySQL, PostGres.
- 4-5 years of Perl, object-oriented Perl, modules, data structures and packages.
- 4-5 years of Linux and/or Unix experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
