Software Engineer- Data Applications
Network Physics is seeking candidates for the following position
• Senior Software Engineer - Data Applications
In this key role you will be responsible for designing and developing back-end software applications for our key products. The applications are targeted for back-end data processing, acquisition, and collection with a focus on performance optimization. Your responsibilities will include all phases of the software development lifecycle: conception, requirements definition, functional specification, software design, implementation, test and documentation.
You will work closely with a cross-functional team, comprised of platform and front-end software engineers, implementation engineers, product managers, QA engineers, and network operations specialists to develop innovative software solutions that meet our customer requirements. All developed code will adhere to in house coding standards for maintainability, scalability, reliability and a high-level of performance.
• Successful candidate will have the following:
• A minimum of 4+ years of related commercial application development in C++ on UNIX environment, preferably FreeBSD
• Experience should include writing applications delivered in the market with strong involvement in the software releases
• Experience in OO programming techniques in analysis, design and development
• BS or MS in Computer Science or other related field
• Good knowledge of database development concepts - SQL,
RDBMS, schema design, stored procedures, etc.
• Good communication skills
• Team oriented, self-motivated and results-oriented
