Database Engineer
Responsibilities:
Communicate with all technical leads to design effective application implementations that fit within the vision of an overall system architecture.
Assist in transforming use cases into efficient data models for high-volume, highspeed functionality and then implementing the data model as a high-availability repository.
Provide technical consultation and direction to help achieve the overall customer mission.
Follow customer process to create, update, refine and complete requirements for the database/application development.
Document all system code, changes, and procedures and also prepare estimates and timelines for project completion.
Responsible for consulting with business and technology teams in the definition of enterprise information assets.
Assist in the relational and dimensional data models for both logical and physical implementations.
Assist programmers in data modeling/design and administration in web server environments.
Responsible for the interfaces between all existing and potential applications to ensure proper functionality and data transfer compatibilities.
Assist in all aspects of business intelligence lifecycle tools, technologies and architectures, including information architecture, strategies, ETL, data quality, database, predictive modeling.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field
Experience as a Database Programmer, Database Engineer and/or Database Architect.
Demonstrated knowledge of data modeling, particularly creating and maintaining complex logical and physical data models.
Demonstrated knowledge of SSIS.
Years of experience may run concurrently.
