MySQL Database Administrator

Job Requirements:

Candidate should be highly experienced in MySQL administration, database design, and development. This position will focus on database expertise, but may also require Java EE development skills.

For database administration, the database developer should be familiar with the various engines available to MySQL with experience in replication, load balancing, failover, and tuning. Database developer will work with other Java developers to create optimized queries.



Critical Knowledge & Skills:

3+ Years of database development/administration using MySQL (other RDBMS experience is a plus, but MySQL is core)

Working Experience with:
•MySQL
•Hibernate
•SVN
•XML

Knowledge of:
•J2EE
•JBoss Application Server
•Apache Active MQ
•Spring Web MVC



A team player with excellent communication skills

Ability to multi-task while maintaining high quality of deliverables

Previous experience supporting complex projects with complicated business drivers

Good writing and communication skills



Education and Pluses:

Bachelor’s degree required.

Master’s in Information Systems or Computer Science a plus.

Enterprise level Java Web Application Development experience

Healthcare industry experience a plus.

Certifications are a plus.
