DIRECT HIRE - MySQL Data Engineer - Richmond, VA

Looking for a MySQL Data Engineer for a Direct Hire Opportunity in Richmond, VA.
Essential Functions:

Support the data needs across all business areas that drive the company's activities utilizing tools across MySQL, SQL and MongoDB
Utilize existing processes to develop solutions for new architecture
Assist in migration between database technologies as new tools are introduced
Learn and support a variety of database technologies
Support and troubleshoot data processing and regular data loads
Consult with internal teams to consistently understand business needs as it relates to data storage, input and export
Identify areas for improvement, develop solutions and help lead implementation in conjunction with the team
Assist with special program needs

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least five years of professional experience
3+ years of MySQL development experience, including troubleshooting
2+ years of Microsoft SQL Server development experience, including troubleshooting
Minimum of 3 years working in one or more ETL tools (DTS, SSIS, etc)
Basic JavaScript
A strong desire to learn new technologies
Experience writing and code-reviewing complex stored procedures
Ensure data integrity using standard rules, procedures, testing and validation
Experience with RedPoint is a plus


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills; able to analyze problems and solve them creatively
Detail-oriented with ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with teammates to accomplish common goals in a fast-paced environment
Ability to take initiative and work in a learning environment
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
