Index usage in 4.1.7
Does someone know why indexes that where working in 4.0.16 suddenly are not working anymore in version 4.1.7.
Is there a change in how MySQL uses the index on a table ? My query performance is dramatic now. I've gone from 0.12 sec. to a 20 sec. wait time. Did any one else noticed this behaviour ? Forcing the index to be used by the query does not help. Does it has to do with the 'cardinality' of the columns when you run explain on a SELECT ?
If something did change in the new version 4.1.7 can someone tell me how the indexes are used by MySQL now ?
