Row locking / versioning

We are holding an Open Source contest to create row locking or row versioning for the Memory Engine.

The details are in the other thread, but in short, everyone is welcome to compete or collaborate on this project.

We will have a design competition ($2,500 for the winning design) followed by an assembly competition to make this public Open Source change to the MySQL Memory Storage Engine.

All MySQL coding standards and architecture will be observed.

This contest starts on 29 July 2008 and runs for about 10 days.
