Hi.

Are you sure that you ask in the right forum? Are your tables MEMORY tables?

Anyway, do you have proper indexes on your table? 500.000 rows does not say much about the size of the database. But if you measure times in minutes for that many rows, your statements probably don't use indexes. Most queries profit a lot from proper indexes.
