Hi,

in general, I would guess that keeping all needed stuff in memory should give a speedup. But you may be right that InnoDB can do that already, if you access a limited amount of your data anyway.

However, I do not dare to guess about your application. I don't have much experience with performance questions. I suggest you try on the PERFORMANCE and/or GENERAL forum also.
