Re: Insert into merge table fails
Does it work if you insert driectly into logyyy?
Do you leave the auto_increment field empty so that it will generate the next number?
Insert into the MERGE table uses the maximum of the column in all tables to generate the next number, not just the base MyISAM table values, this is the behaviour I got when I test with 5.0.21, so insert into base table and insert into merge table may have different effect on the auto increment value.
