We're consolidating mysql servers and I need a quick way to move the contents of server A to server B. Server B has it's own databases and tables and is running but can be stopped. I've done backups before using mysqldump, but never anything like this. Can I just copy the files from the old server to the mysql data directory on the new server? Do I need to create db's and tables first? I'm looking for quick and easy...
