can't import database

Hi there,
i have just created my first working data base with dreamweaver cs4 in wamp2. phpmyadmin.
everything works fine no probs.
I have now purchased a mysql on a remote in order to go live.
i have create the new data base with passwords and user name etc
but on trying to import the data base from my desktop with phpmyadmin i get this error.

#1044 - Access denied for user '?'@'localhost' to database '?'
can anyone tell me please how to resolve this and what is the problem please.
I have dumped the old data base and re installed a new one but it still won't bring in my database, also i have tried importing other databases that work locally but these won't import in either.
