Jason's solutions (a clever one, may I say) works fine only for one word. Not for EACH word as the topic states.

select CONCAT(UPPER(SUBSTRING('mARC sABAT',1,1)),LOWER(SUBSTRING('mARC sABAT',2))) as mystring

This outputs:
Marc sabat
