stored procedure not found

hi,
im creating a procedure and then trying to execute it, however it keeps giving me a "error 1305 procedure does not exist". i can query the proc table and see the procedure name in there. also if i try to create a procedure with the same name it fails with error 1304 'procedure already exists'. im trying to execute the procedure from the same database database context i created it from.
